ArrayScan™ Confocal and Objective Module (Thermo Scientific™)

The Thermo Scientific™ ArrayScan™ Confocal and Objective Module enables the Thermo Scientific™ ArrayScan High Content Analysis (HCA) Readers to be operated in confocal mode while increasing optical resolution. Featuring the latest in high-speed Nipkow spinning disk technology and a variable pinhole, the ArrayScan Confocal and Objective Module enables finer control over image acquisition across a range of objectives (magnifications) in order to balance image quality and performance for the most demanding cell biology experiments; e.g., stem cell colonies, tissues, and 3D microenvironments.

Features of the ArrayScan Confocal and Objective Module :

• Flexibility in Hardware—Dual patterned disks allow users to define different confocal resolutions depending on sample type. The system also enables imaging in widefield and confocal modes in one run.
• Next-generation CARV disk with high-speed Nipkow design with 40μm and 70μm pinholes are designed for low- and high-NA flexibility.
• Efficient design–Four-color, LED light engine for solid-state illumination eliminates the issues associated with lasers (alignment, heat, cost).
• Upgradeable–Build upon your current ArrayScan HCA Reader investment and add new functionality.

The ArrayScan Confocal and Objective Module is integrated with the 4-color LED Light Engine, bringing robust, laser-like performance without the complications and cost of lasers and the need for alignment of camera, confocal and laser.

Compatible with ArrayScan High Content Analysis (HCA) Readers with a 5-color widefield LED/EXFO.
