As a cell-permeable dye, Vybrant DyeCycle Violet Ready Flow enters live cells and selectively binds dsDNA and emits a signal proportional to the DNA mass. The dye can be detected when excited with a 405-nm laser, and the emission captured at a peak of 437 nm.
