Bacto™ Casitone (Gibco™)

Bacto Casitone is an animal origin (AO) pancreatic enzymatic digest of casein similar to Difco Casein Digest. While this supplement provides a nutritional profile based on casein, the specific enzymatic digest performed for this product results in a particularly high content of amino acids and peptides of varying sizes, making it a more nutritious hydrolysate. Customers have successfully used this supplement for the production of Escherichia coli-based recombinant proteins.
