The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit uses magnetic bead-based technology to allow for rapid and efficient purification of plasmid DNA from 1-5 ml of fresh, overnight bacterial cultures without the use of chaotropic salts, organic solvents, or ethanol, to yield up to 20 μg of transfection-grade plasmid DNA in a total time of about 10 minutes after sample preparation.
• Optimized for higher-purity DNA extraction
• Improved performance with accompanying magnetic rack
• Cleaner purified plasmid for optimal downstream performance
High Quality, High Yield Plasmid DNA
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER (Endotoxin Reduced) Mini Kit allows rapid and efficient purification of highly pure plasmid DNA from E. coli cells. After preparing cell lysates, the plasmid DNA can be purified from lysates in less than 10 minutes using a novel magnetic bead-based technology that uses magnetic beads conjugated to a unique ionizable functional group whose affinity for nucleic acids is pH-dependent to facilitate nucleic acid purification. Yields of up to 20 μg plasmid DNA are typically obtained from 1-5 ml of fresh, overnight bacterial cultures without the use of chaotropic salts, ethanol, organics or isopropanol precipitation, making it ideal for mammalian transfection. ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit includes Endotoxin Reduction Reagent (ETRR) that substantially lowers the endotoxin levels (less than 50 EU/ μg DNA) in the purified plasmid DNA.
Compatible with MagnaRack™Magnetic Rack
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit requires the use of a magnetic rack. We recommend using the MagnaRack™Magnetic Rack, which is a two-piece magnetic separation rack that consists of a magnetic base station and a removable tube rack. The tube rack fits onto the magnetic base station in two different positions associating the row of 12 neodymium magnets with a single row of 12 tubes for simple and easy 'on the magnet' and 'off the magnet' sample processing.
Reliable Performance in a Variety of Downstream Applications
The ChargeSwitch™ Plasmid ER Mini Kit helps ensure reliable performance of the resulting purified plasmid DNA in a variety of downstream applications, including sequencing, cloning, PCR, mammalian cell transfection, bacterial cell transformation, in vitro transcription, and nucleic acid labeling.
For Research Use Only. Not intended for diagnostic procedures.
