The CleanSweep™ PCR Purification Reagent is used for enzymatic cleanup of an amplified PCR product. The reagent hydrolyzes excess primers and nucleotides in one single step. CleanSweep reagent-purified samples are ready for use in downstream applications such as DNA sequencing or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis.

• Remove unincorporated primers and nucleotides enzymatically
• Prepare DNA sequencing samples with one pipetting step
• Conserve precious PCR products with 100% recovery
• Eliminate column cleanup entirely
The CleanSweep one-step solution provides a simple way to enzymatically purify a PCR reaction. The reaction is complete with one pipetting step followed by two incubations. The first incubation hydrolyzes excess primer and dephosphorylates nucleotides. The second high temperature incubation inactivates the enzymes.
Enzymatic cleanup is the preferred method for minute amounts of sample such as PCR product. The PCR amplicons are completely conserved, as there are no transfer steps to other tubes, wells, or columns required. At the same time, cross-contamination is limited.
No further processing is needed. After enzymatic cleanup with CleanSweep reagent, primers and dNTPs will no longer interfere with DNA sequencing or SNP analysis.
