TaqMan™ Arbovirus Triplex Kit (ZIKV/DENV/CHIKV), 0.2 mL (Applied Biosystems™)

The TaqMan Arbovirus Triplex Kit enables the simultaneous detection and differentiation of RNA from dengue virus (DENV), chikungunya virus (CHIKV), and Zika virus (ZIKV) in urine and serum. It is a lyophilized, multiplex, one-step real-time PCR Applied Biosystems TaqMan assay for the molecular detection of dengue, chikungunya, and Zika RNA. The kit is optimized for use with the Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System, but is also suitable for the 7500 and other QuantStudio systems. It includes a primer-probe set for human PPIA (cyclophilin A) as an endogenous extraction, RT-PCR and PCR amplification control. The kit is compatible with RNA extracted from human urine or serum using the MagMAX Pathogen RNA/DNA Kit. The Zika virus sequence used to develop these primers and probes is from a 2014 research paper by Pyke et al (1).

Features of the kit:
• Lyophilized with one-step RT-PCR master mix; simply add RNA
• Simple workflow for detection of Zika, Dengue, and Chikungunya virus RNA from urine or serum
• Easy to use and environmentally friendly. No cold chain management required; shipped and stored at room temperature.

Contents:
• Twelve 8-well strips tubes for 96 total reactions per kit
• 0.2-mL tube format, compatible with 96-well block
• Primer-probe detection with 4 probe reporter dyes:
   --FAM-Zika
   --VIC-Dengue
   --ABY-Chikungunya
   --JUN-PPIA cyclophilin
